The Queen, 77, has reluctantly pulled out of the Royal Variety Performance on Nov. 22, which she was due to attend alongside her husband King Charles, 76. The announcement from Buckingham Palace came about four hours before she was scheduled to head out to Royal Albert Hall in London.

The Queen has insisted the “show must go on” after pulling out of the 2024 Royal Variety Performance because of lingering symptoms from a chest infection. Camilla had been due to join the King at the event on Friday night which is taking place at London’s Royal Albert Hall and will feature performances from stars including Sir Elton John and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
