Rory McIlroy recalled his visit to Royal Portrush two decades ago after his second round of The Open. According to Mirror, McIlroy shot a 2-under round of 69 on Friday, leaving him at 3-under 139 for the tournament after 36 holes.
McIlroy said Monday that he was overwhelmed by the reception he received six years ago in his home of Northern Ireland. Now a Grand Slam winner, he's ready for this week's championship.
