Samsung is bringing even more AI to its line of budget-friendly phones. The new Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 now come with what the company calls “awesome intelligence,” enabling an array of new AI-powered image editing features already available with Samsung’s pricier S25 lineup.

With the Galaxy A56, Samsung upgraded its midrange smartphone series with a brushed metal frame, Galaxy AI features and faster charge speeds.

Whether Galaxy AI remains free for six months or until the end of 2025, Samsung will eventually charge for the service. I’m not comfortable not having clear guidance on what features will be missing from my $1,300 Galaxy S25 Ultra in a few months, and I’m not alone. Samsung has a Galaxy AI problem, and it’s about to become our problem.
