Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for two areas of Michigan, both calling for some heavy snow and possibly difficult travel conditions on the roads. These two advisory areas are also hundreds of miles apart and have different timing, so let’s separate it out for you here:

Overnight, 3-6 inches of snow blanketed southeast Michigan making morning commutes to work Thursday treacherous and closing hundreds of schools and districts, including the Detroit Public Schools Community District,

A 'coast-to-coast' winter storm will impact Michigan. Areas along Lake Huron could see as much as 12 inches of snow — maybe more. Where it will fall.
