The body of missing hiker Susan Lane-Fournier, 61, was discovered near Welches, Oregon, following a weeklong search. Authorities have ruled her death a homicide, and her husband, Michel Fournier, 71, has been charged with second-degree murder, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Michel Fournier, 71, was arrested for murder nearly a month after his wife, Susan Lane-Fournier, filed for divorce. Lane-Fournier went missing last week.

On Friday morning, November 29, the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was called to Welches on the report of a body being found off of East Miller Road.
