A New Hampshire man has died after falling in icy terrain while hiking in the White Mountains. Christopher Huyler, 44, was found early Saturday morning at an elevation of 2,800 feet, after he failed to return from hiking on the Coppermine Trail area in Franconia.

A New Hampshire man has died after falling during a hike in icy conditions on the White Mountains. According to The NH Fish and Game Department, officers were alerted around 6:30 p.m. on Friday about an overdue hiker from the Coppermine Trail area in Franconia.

Two hikers suffering from hypothermia were rescued overnight from the Lincoln Brook Trail in Franconia, New Hampshire. The NH Fish and Game Department says conservation officers learned around 7 p.m.

Christopher Huyler’s body was found around 1 a.m. at approximately 2,800 feet in elevation, near a steep, icy slide in the Coppermine Brook valley, officials said.
