Georgina Dopico was named Provost of NYU in June of 2024 after serving as Interim Provost since August of 2022. A scholar of literature, history, culture, and gender studies in early-modern Spain, she is Professor of Spanish and Portuguese Language and Literature in the Faculty of Arts and Science. She joined the NYU faculty in 2000.

Through the clinical and outreach programs of NYU’s professional schools, and the volunteer support of thousands of students, faculty, and staff, NYU contributes thousands of hours—and dollars—in service to our surrounding communities each semester.

Recent NYU applicants are not permitted to apply as a visiting student for the same term of admission as degree application. Students on Academic or Disciplinary Probation Students currently on academic and/or disciplinary leave or probation at their current institution are not eligible to study at NYU.

NYU offers immersive academic experiences for students grades 5–12 during the summer and throughout the academic year spanning everything from weekend workshops to 1- to 2-week intensive programs through 6-12-week courses.
