Tulpehocken Street, in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is sometimes called the "Charles Addams House" because of the belief it might be the inspiration for the Addams Family mansion.

Mar 4, 2014 · In the Addams Family movie the makers do completely break the joke by using special effects to make Thing actually be a disembodied hand, because the movie is (compared to the TV series) tone-deaf and about as subtle as a brick. IMO.

For example, Gomez talks like he has lived in the area since the Spanish conquistadores. In one scene Gomez counts off six items on the fingers of one hand.
