Dec 25, 2018 · Most times I use the 2 1/2 inch angle sash. For windows sashes etc. I use the 2 inch. These brushes are about 1/2 the price of other big name brushes and don't last as long but superior in performance. I am always hopeful when I try a new brush. I want the brush performance of the pro form ,have it last and be made in the USA.

Nov 17, 2018 · Does having different brushes for different paints help out...yes. Chinex for exterior/thicker paints. Soft bristle (syntox) for trim paint or where leveling is necessary. Stiffer or sharp flagged brushes (clear-cut elite / picasso) for easier cutting tasks. Other brushes will load/release better as well....it's all task dependent.

Anyway, I would say potentially Purdy couldmake a better trim brush, due to the tips being flagged, and generally being softer. Now the trend with low VOC fast dry paints is stiff brushes, like the Wooster Golds being fairly stiff.

We clean brushes on job site with warm water, Dawn detergent & brush, all latex brushes receive a treatment of Flood "Brush Stuff" which has been discontinued so I bought every tube I could find. We do keep our oil brushes seperate for poly, primer and paint.
