Line bottom of Earthbox w/ landscape fabric? - Tomatoville
Mar 25, 2016 · Location: Allentown, PA. Posts: 349. I have always lined my EarthTainers with landscape fabric, as Raybo recommends. In years when I used a lower quality, roots got through to the reservoir leading to water tomatoes. I guess the Earthbox people make do without it, but I find it helps a lot to use it.

In spring 2021 I grew one bed of 13 different dwarf tomato varieties, plus 6 dupicates scattered through the garden. The yields are listed after each one. These are roughly in the order of “least likely” to “most likely” to grow again.

Feb 10, 2016 · A great balance of sweetness and acidity. I grew that plant in a 5 gallon grow bag comprised of organic potting mix (Sungro, I think)with some ferts and rock powders. I also grew a plant in the soil and did not note any significant difference in flavor between them. I did not trim the plant. I rarely trim dwarf plants.

Apr 4, 2009 · I went to work yesterday, and my 25 tomato plants in their styrofoam cups looked great. I get home last night and as I get out of the car, I can smell the chemicals that the apt complex puts on their grass every year. I don't think anything of it and as I am walking up to the door, I notice that my plants are really droopy.

Would it be possible to use long stretches of capillary mat to 'sub-irrigate' a 4' x 100' "bed" of 10 or 15 gallon grow bags?

Mar 16, 2015 · Tasmanian Chocolate is the best-tasting container tomato I have ever grown. OK, in my seeds from the seed exchange I found 3 of the ones listed here, New Big Dwarf, Dwarf Summertime Gold, and Tasmanian Chocolate. I may try for one pot of each. I was hoping to find a Dwarf Rosella Purple in there too, but 3/4 isn't bad.
