Greyhound buses are one of the few things in American life that are exactly as bad as advertised. The buses are run down, the service is unreliable, and in my experience there has almost always been at least one "problem passenger" eating smelly food, emitting smelly smells, or just acting generally unstable.

Me and my girlfriend decided to take a weekend trip to Washington D.C. from Newark to sight see and visit local museums. The trip was great but our experience with Greyhound was a nightmare. Our initial bus to DC was scheduled at 7:30PM and it didn’t show up until 9:50PM. To make things worse they didn’t notify anyone about a delay until around 9:00PM… a whole hour and half later.

I saw a dude get arrested at the terminal and the bus drivers safety spiel included the line, "If I catch anyone masturbating on the bus, I will immediately pull over and call the police."
