I am deathly afraid of flying and usually take flight meds but I have my first flight tomorrow with spirit airlines. Aside from the fees and add ons has anyone had safety issues or does it feel as safe as any other flight? I know it’s all airbus but still trying to convince myself it’ll be fine

Is Spirit as bad as people say it is? : r/travel - Reddit
I've been looking at flights, and unsurprisingly everything is expensive, except for Spirit. Not only is Spirit the cheapest option, but it is the only way to get a direct flight to Vegas from Cleveland. I am aware of the hidden fees and crap, but is Spirit really as bad as people point it out to be? I mean, it can't be worse than Frontier, right?

May 10, 2023 · Yes! Literally all major airlines are safe. They simply have to be! You may run into issues with delays, luggage, and uncomfortable seating, but all of their planes are FAA regulated AND fly in the same airspace with the same ATC. In fact, Spirit, American, and Delta all have the same aircraft in their fleets.

Spirit Airline is absolutely terrible. Avoid at all cost. - Reddit
DON’T EVER USE SPIRIT if you aren’t any any insurance for highly probable flight cancellations. I have (tried) using Spirit airline and both time they cancelled my flight. The first time, they cancelled my flight last minute and I had to wait for two whole days to board the next available flight. This is simply ridiculous.
Is it financially safe to buy tickets on Spirit at this point? : r ...
Do you think it would be wise/safe to buy tickets for a trip at the end of March? Price-wise, there is no competition, the next cheapest ticket for my trip is hundreds more on a good day, but it's not cheaper if the whole company folds before then and doesn't do refunds.
Spirit Airlines, are they really that bad? : r/spiritair - Reddit
Aug 22, 2022 · Spirit is my favorite airline, cheapest fares around. They’re perfectly fine to fly with just pack light, bring a snack and entertainment of your own and you’ll be ok. They’re also one of the best airlines for on time performance.
What's so bad about Spirit Airlines? : r/AskAnAmerican - Reddit
Spirit, just like other budget airlines, takes just about every measure possible to cut costs and maximize revenue. They don't fly routes very often with tiny regional jets, and they only flight between city pairs that they know they can regularly pack a320-family jets full of passengers.

Spirit it's the wort airline, they have the wors of the worst customer service and they scam people. They offer cheaper flights, but they will make sure to scam you in some other ways. My advice is if you are planning to travel find an airline that perhaps will charge you more for the plane ticket but not try to scam you in some other stupid ways.
