The Orient Point–New London ferry is a fast, convenient, and scenic way to cross Long Island Sound, connecting New London, CT with Orient Point, NY at the tip of Long Island’s North Fork. It’s operated by Cross Sound Ferry, with up to 20 crossings per day, including high-speed options for foot passengers.

Orient and Orient Point are used almost interchangeably. However, Orient Point refers specifically to the physical point at the end of the North Fork of Long Island, while Orient is the hamlet in which the point is located. Orient is the easternmost town on Long Island's North Fork.
