Other parts such as most screws, tires, gearbox and drive components were shared with other Tamiya models of the era and readily available for reasonable prices. With with re release of the Avante 2011, Black Special and Vajra has made prices for suspension and gearbox parts alot easier and cheaper to source, but be aware of one minor point; 1.

Jan 10, 2024 · Tony's Tamiya Parts (big global parts seller here in the UK) indicated this week that one of the Avante parts (19005271 - A-Parts) is due a re-run in the near future. Tamiya will be re-releasing the original Egress next month after producing the Egress Black Edition since 2022.

Mar 28, 2020 · What I found hard on the Avante ball diff design is that the bevel gear position on the axle is influenced by how much the pressure discs are screwed down. Thanks Matthias. In practice I've found that the spring washers move such a small amount when the clutch pressure is adjusted it doesn't have a significant effect on the gear mesh.

Apr 30, 2014 · Tamiya pinion pitch is 0.6 for the Avante series. Other essential parts are in my opinion the alloy front and rear hubs. They are made by Yeah Racing. There's another Japanese brand (you find it only in Japanese model shops) that makes alloy front and rear hubs, steering cranks and lower front and rear gear doors parts.
