Sep 24, 2013 · A 9.9 to 20 horse motor will work just fine also. I like Jon boats but thats my preference. A vee boat might be a little more comfortable for all night trips. We have had 6 channels in about thirty gallons in a 50 gallon tank. Micro bubbles carry more oxygen content in water than big bubbles. We have a diffuser that pushes tonsof micro bubbles on a 12 volt system.

We use a similar foot by 1 foot sheet of quarter inch ply wood and two pvc pipes running at angles away from each other. We just set a battery or bait bucket by it so a fish can't pull our rods over board. Sean Stone. Skyline1506.

Sep 3, 2014 · 6500 TC reels have a higher gear ratio (6.3:1) but catfish connection lazered TC reels have 5.3:1 ratios which might be better to fight large catfish. As Captain Brad mentioned, a steady dose of large cats will wear a 6500 out quickly. Drag disks will probably need replacement and other parts may wear depending on how much casting you do.
