Apr 11, 2009 · Its not junk but certainly is no jewel. I don't have any experience with the newer model Polar boats, but I own a 1997 model and can say from experience that it is a piece of junk. It's the 17' model and it never left the backwaters and bayous and on one trip it literally split open from bow to stern.
