I will be running either boat with a Yamaha F150 outboard and all cosmetic/functional options will be the same. Either of these boats will cost me about 32,000.

I am now going with the Excel Bay Pro 230 with 0.160 Aluminum Hull. After much research it appears that Excel did their homework on how to build a boat like a tank.

Nov 26, 2017 · I was and may still consider an Excel 220 Bay Pro but am leaning towards a SeaArk 2072 vfx. The 220 is narrow up front like you said and I have no use for the rod boxes which take up valuable space IMO. I will put all my rods in the center console rod holders. If they'd remove the rod boxes I'd likely go for it.

In November of 2020, I bought a 2021 Excel Bay Pro 230 with the DF200A Suzuki outboard with Atlas hydraulic jack plate. Previously I had owned an Xpress H20B and was not impressed at all with that boat. This Excel boat is a good one for my needs.

Jul 29, 2017 · I had an H22 bay with a yam 150 for 2 years. Probably the best riding aluminum boat on the water. Hyperlift hull is awesome and the boat will eat a moderate chop. my buddy has a 2200v pathfinder and the ride in the xpress was very comparable to his boat. i've been 25 miles offshore in it on more than one occasion.
