The eruption is over! Yes, the fourth eruption, since these events began on December 18th, is finally over. This was the longest one, since Fagradalsfjall in 2021, total of 54 days. Scientists at the Icelandic MET Office believe that the fifth eruption is imminent, as magma has been building up underneath the area since the last eruption started, which is very unusual.
