What is a HAWK Light? Driving through Tucson, you may see what is called a High-intensity Activated Cross Walk (HAWK). The lights are for pedestrians crossing through multiple lanes. When the lights are activated, motorists will see flashing yellow to solid yellow to solid red. Flashing red lights are to be treated as a stop sign.
