This is the Tongan fort of Talietumu, built in the 1400s in Wallis & Futuna, during the peak of the Tongan Empire in the Pacific. The fort is several miles long and was occupied by Tongan warriors who ruled the Wallis, as part of a Tui Tonga empire that spread from Tikopia Island (in Solomon Islands) to Samoa.
