This incredible video was taken by one of our tour guides just outside the Reception Centre. It shows a yellow-spotted or argus monitor ("Varanus panoptes") circling a very upset juvenile black-headed python ("Aspidites melanocephalus"). We can’t determine whether this is territorial or predatory behaviour but knowing their diets may offer some clues.
