If I could only remember one cue for lat training, it would be: Elbow to hip. That's it. Most people think about pulling the handle. The problem is your lats don't attach to the handle. They attach to your humerus. So if your focus is moving your hand through space, it's easy for your biceps, rear delts, and traps to take over. Instead, think about driving your elbow toward your hip pocket. That lines up much more closely with the primary functions of the lats: shoulder extension and adduction.
