I used to think Parkinson’s (and similar diseases) only happened to “other” people aka older men. I’m not alone…my first neurologist even said “don’t worry, it would be exceptionally rare for a woman in her early 40s to have this”….wrong!!! My story is not exceptional or rare. In fact, it’s becoming more and more common as #parkinsons has become the fastest neurological disease. Parkinson’s has a PR problem. It can happen to anyone at any age.
