Salt aquatint – a simple reverse method that works beautifully I’ve been using salt aquatint as a really reliable way to get soft, broken tone — especially when I want a reverse aquatint. I mix a small amount of cobalt drier into my Ironbridge relief ink, then roll on a perfectly thin, even layer onto the plate.
